Bookkeeper
Coast Longshore Division

Based in San Francisco, CA

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union Coast Longshore Division (CLD) has an immediate opening for a fulltime Bookkeeper . 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Accounts Payable – preparing and printing checks
• Accounts receivable – preparing weekly deposits and monthly reports
• Billing to affiliates
• Multi-state payroll processing
• Preparing payroll taxes
• Maintaining Benefits files
• Maintaining vendor files
• Routing of mail
• Filing

Requirements: 

• Must have a minimum of three years of bookkeeping experience 
• Knowledge of bookkeeping functions
• User’s knowledge of computer software: MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, familiarity with Sage accounting software is a plus
• Proficient at 10-key
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must be accurate and conscientious regarding the quality of work
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Must be able to handle stress
• Must be able to work independently 
• Must be able to work on multiple projects at once
• Must be able to get along with a diverse group of people and personalities
• Must be able to receive and incorporate constructive criticism

Work Hours:
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday 

Salary and Benefits:
$48.29 per hour salary, premium healthcare, and employer sponsored 401(k) plan.
